台東区ってどんなとこ？
台東区は東京の下町エリアを代表する区。上野公園あたりが武蔵野台地の東端にあたる事が区名の由来の一つだろうか。上野と浅草を中心としてDEEPでコアな下町が広がっている東京のパラダイス。ラブホ街の鶯谷、高級ソープ街で旧赤線の吉原、ホームレス街の山谷（日本堤・清川・東浅草と荒川区南千住の一部）も見逃せない。

ヤクザの人口比率が多く、浅草神社三社祭では神聖な神輿にヤクザが自己顕示欲を満たすがごとく乗り上げて踊り狂う事で有名。まさにヤクザ祭である。

だが上野桜木、谷中の一部は台東区のくせに高級住宅地でもあるので侮れない。でも山手線を挟んだ東側の鶯谷は東京一のアングラゾーンでラブホテルだらけの路地に昼間っから中国人の立ちんぼが客引きしてるような危ない場所なんですが。
